Measures for the Regions included in the epidemiological level 4 (category "Very high")

For the Regions included in the epidemiological level 4 (category "Very high"), the following are provided:

* For companies that are significantly affected, based on KAD main activity (or secondary with the largest turnover), it is provided:

- Possibility of suspension of employment contracts with recognition of the right to special purpose compensation (ratio of 534 euros corresponding to 30 days) to part or all of the employees. In particular, for the period during which the declaration of the Regional Unit is valid at level 4, the employees of business-employers who are based or have a branch in the said Regional Unit and are significantly affected according to the expanded list of KAD April, can be put on temporary suspension of employment contract and are entitled to special purpose compensation, proportional to the period set at a minimum of 14 days, calculated on a monthly amount of 534 euros. For the above period, the full insurance contributions are calculated proportionally, calculated on the nominal salary from the state budget. After the end of the suspension, the employers are obliged to keep the same number of employees for a period equal to that of the suspension.

– Possibility of joining employees in the "Co-Work" Mechanism, for those employees who are not suspended  (also applies to all companies in the territory that have a reduction in turnover, except for companies that remain closed by order of a public authority, whose employees are temporarily suspended)

- Mandatory implementation of a remote work system for 40% of employees who can work remotely. Compulsory teleworking is announced in advance in "Ergani" for as long as the Region is at an epidemiological level "very high". Violators of the obligations are fined 3,000 euros.

* For all companies that are put into suspension by state order (will remain closed by order of a public authority), Mandatory suspension of employment contracts and the right to special purpose compensation to employees of companies is provided for at least 14 days and until the period during which the suspension of operation is defined. After the end of the suspension, the employers are obliged to keep the same number of employees for a period equal to that of the suspension.

* The companies that are based in a Regional Unit that is part of level 4 for at least 14 days and are significantly affected according to the expanded list of KAD April, including scientific disciplines, are entitled to a mandatory rent reduction of 40% on their commercial real estate. The same applies to the main and student residence of suspended employees. For the owners who rent real estate in these companies and the above employees, 1/3 of the loss is offset against their tax liabilities.

*  in the fourth cycle of the Refundable Advance to be paid in December, for all businesses based in a Regional Unit from August onwards for at least 14 days at level 4, 50% is not refundable of that repayable advance. In addition, all companies based in a Regional Unit from August onwards for at least 14 days at level 3 or under special restrictive measures, 30% is not refundable of that repayable advance.

* The self-employed and business owners employing up to 20 people, based in a Regional Unit that is part of level 4 and are significantly affected according to the expanded list of KAD April, including scientific disciplines, is given special purpose allowance of EUR 534 on a monthly basis. In case the duration of stay at level 4 of the Regional Unit is 14 days or less, the monthly compensation amounts to 300 euros.

* For companies based in a Regional Unit that is part of level 4 for at least 14 days and are significantly affected according to the expanded list of KAD April, including scientific disciplines, it is possible suspension of VAT payment payable in that month, until April 30, 2021. This debt will be repaid in 12 installments with zero interest rate or 24 installments with an interest rate of 2.5% from May 2021 onwards.

At the same time, the suspension of loan installments continues based on the expanded list of KAD in consultation with the Hellenic Banking Association.
